How To Put Wallpaper On Psp

This method is for Version 2.xx and above. For Version 1.50, pls read further below.

Set up -------

(1) Before you begin, make sure you have a PSP 2.x: * Does your PSP main menu has an Internet "Globe" icon. If so, you have a 2.x.

(2) Make sure you have the right USB cable to connect your PSP to a PC

(3) Make sure your memory stick is formatted. If it is, you will see the directory PSPPHOTO when your PSP is connected to a PC (via USB).

Begin -------

(4) Connect your PSP to a PC now. Besides hooking up the USB cable, you'll have to select "USB Connection" from the first PSP main menu icon. If successful, your PSP will appear as a drive icon on a Windows or Mac.

(5) Copy the wallpaper(s) to PSPPHOTO. For example, if your PSP appears as E: drive, then copy the pictures to E:PSPPHOTO

(6) Get out of "USB Connection" mode by following the instructions on the PSP screen (on a Japan PSP, pressing the "X" button. On a US or European PSP, press the "O" button).

(7) From the PSP main menu, navigate to the Photo icon and view the copied picture

(8) When the picture is displayed on-screen, press the "Triangle" button

(9) Choose the second icon from the left ("Set as wallpaper")

(10) Confirm your selection

(11) Done.

(12) In newer PSP firmware, you may have to do 1 more step: Go to the "Settings" icon (left most). Scroll down/up to "Theme Settings". Go to "Wallpaper", press the O button (for Japanese PSP) or X button (for US PSP). Choose "Use Wallpaper". Done.

Version 1.50

(1) Make sure you have a PSP 1.5 * Go to the first (left-most) PSP main menu icon. Navigate to "System Information" to find the exact version of your PSP. If it says 1.0, then you're out of luck.

(2) You'll need to "enable" your PSP to run "Homebrew" programs.

(3) You'll need a "Homebrew" PSP wallpaper software like PSPersonalize. * Note that if things go wrong along the way, you may damage/corrupt your PSP permanently. So be very sure you want to do this. We're not responsible if you render your PSP useless.

Dial up Internet providers are service providers that allow users to access the Internet for a fee. Almost 90% of the UK population now has broadband internet in favour of dial-up. But how many of those people are happy with their service?

Like your energy, phone, cable TV and even mortgage, sometimes you can get yourself a better deal by switching your service provider. So many companies now have a broadband service it's relatively easy to find a good deal if you shop around.

First off, consider how much you use your internet. Most ISP's have usage caps, which means that once you've used over a certain amount, you start paying. If you're a heavy net user, go for a higher limit. This mainly applies if you do a lot of music or video downloading, or other large files. Although looking at web pages is technically downloading, it's not enough to exceed a standard usage cap.

Top speed is another factor governed by how much you use the net, and what for. If you enjoy watching videos or downloading, you're going to need a faster speed than someone who just surfs. Having said that, the technology used in making websites now means that many pages have longer loading times, so a slower speed wouldn't suit an impatient surfer.

Sometimes you're restricted when it comes to which broadband providers you could sign up with. Not all of them supply their service to all parts of the country, and if you have a cable line from Telewest or NTL then you'll have to get your broadband from them too.

Once you've discovered which services you can get in your area - a site such as BroadbandGenie can help you with this - compare those providers and see what the best deal is. If you just want cheap broadband, then the search should be easy, but many packages come with extras like firewalls, email addresses and the like. They cannot withhold your MAC code for more than 5 working days unless you have already cancelled your contact or if the account holder is deceased, but some providers may try and persuade you to stay with them. You do not have to do this, but bear in mind if you are trying to leave before the contract is up, you may get charged.

Mobile Devices, Which Devices Work Hard and Play Hard?

Devices that can access mobile broadband 2G or 3G type networks include laptops, PDAs, BlackBerrys, SmartPhones, and soon, the iPhone. But which ones can help you be productive and keep you entertained?

LAPTOPS

Advantages:

Laptops can access full webpages, display full screen and can work with your productivity, scheduling and email programs. They can also play music and video.

Disadvantages:

They are bigger and cost more than handhelds and they cannot fulfill cellphone duties.

PDAs

Advantages:

They are designed for productivity and can sync up with popular programs like Outlook. They are kind of like mini laptops with an interactive screen, popular types include the Palm.

Disadvantages:

They are not that much fun, most dont play music or video and they are not cellphones. They require a service contract to access mobile broadband on top of your regular cell phone service. Although, they are beginning to incorporate multimedia elements like photo organizers, mp3 and video players and display eBooks; however, they cannot replace your laptop. So, basically you have to carry both around and sync up from time to time.

BLACKBERRYS

Advantages:

Similar to a PDA, they can access email and webpages, have organizers, many can perform as a modem for a laptop. Some can play mp3s and video and perform cell phone functions, like the BlackBerry Pearl. The traditional BlackBerrys have full keyboards, support attachment viewing and are quad band (which means they can connect to 850/900/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS and EDGE networks).

Disadvantages:

To access wireless services they require services beyond your regular cell service and they are not much fun. Most dont play media content like video or music.

SMARTPHONES

Advantages:

SmartPhones combine PDA and cell phone abilities. They support productivity activities like checking email; yet, also perform all cell phone functions.

Disadvantages:

They require service addons beyond your regular cell phone service to use its features and still cannot replace a laptop. They are nice for looking up simple information online or checking your schedule, but you will still have to sync up every so often.

iPhone

Advantages:

This small device plays music, can check email, IM and performs cell phone functions.

Disadvantages:

Currently, a two year Cingular contract is required to use this device. Additionally, although the interactive screen is cool, it is hard to type on, which limits its productive abilities. The iPhone is also costly, much more than a PDA or BlackBerry, but designed to be more fun than productive.

So, all in all, your laptop is still the most productive and entertaining device you can use to access mobile broadband services, but far from pocket size. And the pocket size devices, offer limited functionality.

So what is the best combination of functionality and fun? Im thinking a small multimedia laptop and a reasonably priced smartphone (to get you by until you can get back together with your laptop).
